Laying the Groundwork
It all started when a passionate audio engineer named Joel Gimbel II laid the foundation for Gimbel Sound—the predecessor of Gimbel Vision & Sound—in the San Francisco Bay Area. With over a decade of experience in music, audio engineering, and his early days as an IATSE Local 16 stagehand for live corporate events, Joel transformed his love for audio and the arts into a thriving business. He dedicated himself to helping local musicians shine in studios and creating professional sound for live events, always striving to elevate their sound.
Craftsmanship Meets Opportunity
And every day Joel immersed himself in the vibrant local music & events scene, building a reputation for his meticulous craftsmanship and keen ear. However, he noticed a common thread among small business owners and content creators as the world moved increasingly into online spaces: many struggled to produce the high-quality audio-visual content necessary to captivate their audiences. This frustration resonated deeply with him, leading him to dream bigger.
Expanding Our Vision
Until one day, Joel partnered with Morgan Valdivieso, a talented web designer and brand storyteller, to expand their vision. Together, they realized that the digital landscape was changing, and there was a growing demand for comprehensive audio-visual content creation. Now based in Oregon, they rebranded as Gimbel Vision & Sound, embracing a broader mission: to empower podcasters, online educators, and small business owners to effectively share their stories through professional-grade media.
